The new 40-ton 770 is the result of Caterpillars drive to provide a hauling solution with new levels of productivity, efficiency, durability and safety. Caterpillar® has long held a position of leadership in the industry with the 769. The 770 represent another major step forward, offering improvements in safety, operator comfort, productivity and overall operating costs. With these trucks we have cut cycle times, increased payload, added new safety features, reduced downtime and maintenance-related expenses, enlarged the cab and improved ergonomics.
Highlights
- New Operator Access. The dramatically different center-mounted cab design of the 770 for a larger operator station, as well as direct stairway access to the cab. A platform enables the operator to perform daily maintenance safely and easily.
- Larger, More Comfortable Cab. The cab is 14 inches wider, providing 8% more space than in previous models. The seat, an 8-way adjustable CAT® Comfort Seat, is in the center of the cab, allowing for easy walk-in entry. The CAT® Comfort Seat features a three-point operator restraint. The trainers seat to the operators left features a storage space.
- The shift and dump levers are both positioned in a comfortable location for right-hand operation to reduce operating fatigue and help inexperience operators gain proficiency faster.
- Heating and cooling capability have been improved with an increase in airflow, thanks to added vents and a four-speed fan.
- A resiliently mounted cab provides a smoother ride, and the operator now has a better view of the work site with 52% more glass, improved sight lines, heated mirrors (optional) and a rear vision camera (optional).
- Efficient, Powerful Engines with ACERTTM Technology. The 770 is powered by the CAT® C15 Engine, The engine uses ACERTTM Technology to meet emissions regulations without sacrificing power or fuel efficiency. Acceleration and engine response are improved.
