Products
- Landfill Products
Regardless of the size of the landfill or the method you use, no single heavy equipment manufacturer offers more value and versatility than Caterpillar. The value of CAT® machines in landfills can be attributed to robust engineering and specifically designed attachments that extend the life of the machine, improve its productivity and ensure its reliability. - Transfer / Recycle Station Products
Transfer stations and recycle centers play an important role in the collection, reuse, transfer and disposal of municipal solid waste. In metropolitan areas where landfills are not centrally located, transfer stations are an efficient and cost effective means of consolidating and shipping waste. Generally speaking, there are four types of transfer station: direct discharge, platform pit, hopper compaction and push pit compaction stations. Recycle centers offer the same benefits with the added value of separating out glass, cardboard, wood, plastic and in some cases landscape waste for reuse. Because of their durability and reliability, CAT® machines with waste handling arrangements are found in all four types of transfer station and recycle centers throughout the world. Our machine types include:
Featured Product
The CAT® D9T Track-Type Tractor waste handling arrangement machines are purpose built for landfill operations. Special guarding and cooling systems are standard on these machines to help them withstand the harsh operating conditions in the landfill.
Highlights

- A variety of debris environment features are included with the Waste Handling Arrangement to reduce plugging, extend service life, and enhance productivity.
- Required attachments are required and must be ordered with the basic waste handling arrangement.
- Recommended options are highly recommended to complement the waste disposal arrangement and ensure peak performance. These options help increase productivity, prevent spilling, and reduce refuse packing.
- Elevated sprockets isolate the final drives from ground impacts. Suspended undercarriages put more track on the ground for higher traction, less slippage, a smoother ride and longer machine life.
