Hawthorne can show you a complete range of equipment for any business need: Prime or continuous power; standby power; heat recovery; temporary power for emergencies or seasonal demands. You can add advanced microprocessor controls, remote communication, sound attenuated or weatherproof enclosures, and many other accessories to suit your application.

You can also choose from a wide range of fuels. CAT® Gas Engines burn natural gas, propane, coal seam gas, landfill or digester methane, and other fuels. Our large-bore diesel engines operate on crude or residual oils as well as distillate diesel fuel. On any fuel, CAT® gen sets deliver clean emissions for compliance with air-quality standards.

Power Plants

Caterpillar Power Generation Systems (CPGS) - designed power plant facilities are making progress possible around the globe - from remote islands to densely populated cities. Industries such as mining, cement, utilities, independent power producers and governments are provided with power from 2 to over 100MW.

Whatever your power needs, count on the proven experience of CPGS to deliver the ideal power plant solution, from initial consultation all the way to plant operation and maintenance.

Caterpillar Power Generation Systems offers four basic power plant service packages. You pick the plan that best fits your needs or we can customize any package by adding or adjusting services.

1. Operation and Maintenance Agreement (O&M): CPGS takes complete  responsibility for managing your asset. Our staff handles all aspects of operation, maintenance and administration. We work with you to establish and meet specific goals for performance and ROI. 
2. Maintenance and Repair Agreement (MRA): CPGS technicians perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and regular analysis of critical engine fluids. You also receive technical support and staff training, plus all replacement parts. 
3. Maintenance Service Agreement (MSA): CPGS provides technical support, staff training and assistance with maintenance and troubleshooting, in addition to the parts required for regular maintenance. 
4. Technical Service Agreement (TSA): CPGS provides an experienced engineer to train your staff to improve maintenance techniques and troubleshoot plant equipment.
