Hawthorne Power Systems offers a complete line of Crestchic-USA load bank modules. These modules are not only powerful; they are also ultra compact and portable.
These units are built in sizes up to 6.25MVA (5000kw) reactive/resistive, operating in ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 power factor. They are designed for easy shipment and can be linked together to provide capacities up to 60MW or more.
These compact load bank modules are housed in a 10 ft. x 8 ft. or 10 ft. 20 ft., ISO enclosures are weatherproof for safety and are ideal for space limited locations. Not only do these enclosures make it possible to do testing in all climate conditions, they are well suited to provide large load testing capabilities in space-limited locations. Units are controlled and monitored via a remotely located PC or a full functioning hand-held controller and can be safely operated from locations as far as 300 ft. by a communication and control cable.
They are used to test critical systems and components such as emergency standby and prime power generators, turbines, large UPS systems, storage batteries, ship board generators, utility power feeders, transformers, large switch-gear components and Power Distribution Units (PDUs). They are also used to perform power plant/cogeneration startups and SCR performance testing.
Our industry has always recognized the importance of resistive load testing on a generator or other mission critical components of a power system. Today, there is an ever-increasing awareness and need to test these systems under real load conditions by the addition of a reactive load. This is the only way to test a critical component to its fullest potential.

We can facilitate any rental or permanent installation anywhere in the world.
