Engineering refinements in the new Cat® 824K Wheel Dozer's power train and operator station, and structures, combine with enhancements in safety, service and management features to optimize the machine's value and long-run durability. The Cat 824K Wheel Dozer can be customized with six available blade configurations for stockpile or production dozing or cleanup jobs.
The fuel delivery system in the Cat C15 ACERT™ engine uses electronic controls. An engine idle shutdown system helps conserve fuel, and a shutdown delays allows operating temperatures to stabilize. The Cat torque converter decreases the loss of drive train power and heat from the system. And to extend drive train efficiency, increase productivity and reduce fuel costs, the operator can set the 4F/4R Cat power shift transmission to auto shift based on the machine's speed.
