Operators can consistently achieve compaction specifications with fewer passes for lower operating costs with the new four-drum Cat® 825K Compactor. The exclusive Machine Drive Power (MDP) system lets you add available mapping and data storage and analysis technology, which produces an intelligent compaction system for comprehensive project management. The increased efficiency of the new Cat 825K Compactor reduces time and machine hours, saves fuel, and decreases rework expense.
The Cat 825K Compactor has a maximum operating weight of 78,326 pounds (35 528 kg) and develops 405 net horsepower (302 kW) from its Cat C15 ACERT™ engine, giving it the weight and power to perform the toughest compacting and dozing chores. Its massive structures provide long-term durability, while the Engine-Idle-Shutdown system helps conserve fuel and the Delayed Engine Shutdown protects the engine.
The MDP's ability to measure the soil's load-bearing strength and gauge compaction forms the foundation for the scalable Cat Compaction Control System. The VisionLink® user interface can analyze and report on the compaction data via a computer or mobile device. Overall, the system helps optimize productivity, enhance job quality, and increase profitability.
Operator productivity adds to the increased efficiency of the Cat 825K Compactor. The operator’s environment promotes operator comfort, improves safety, and boosts productivity. Available options like the Cat DETECT system and the standard cab-mounted LED warning strobe lights further promote jobsite safety.
