Santee based, Pacific Grading & Erosion Control was founded in 1998 by Eric Province. Pacific Grading & Erosion Control performs Best Management Practices (BMP), a form of environmental engineering designed to manage storm water and treat polluted water systems. Additionally, Pacific Grading & Erosion Control offers a range of grading and erosion control services.
According to CalContractor's Rental Equipment issue, "Pacific Grading & Erosion Control, Inc. Relies on Hawthorne Rentals For Their Heavy Machinery Rental Needs," Pacific Grading & Erosion Control is currently working on several month-long projects throughout San Diego County. Hawthorne Rentals provides the Cat machines they need to complete their projects on time and within budget. Pacific Grading & Erosion Control is currently renting Cat 950 and 966 Wheel Loaders, Cat 321 and 336 Excavators, a Cat D6 Dozer, Cat Mini Excavators, and other compact construction equipment. The company prefers to rent equipment to save on operating costs and ensure the firm complies with the new emissions requirements in California. Additionally, Erics believes that renting equipment is the most cost effective option for a company of their size.
Province has been a loyal Hawthorne Cat customer for many years. Eric worked for his father at Southwestern Equipment, another long-time customer of Hawthorne Cat, before he founded Pacific Grading & Erosion Control. He explains why Hawthorne Cat has always been the best choice for renting equipment, "Hawthorne Rentals and our rental sales representative, Dan Walsh, treat us like we are their biggest customer. When we call to rent, we get answers right away, not three to four hours later. They work with us to limit our fees if we incur unforeseen changes or weather issues and if we ever have an issue with a machine, they are out on our jobsite almost immediately."
