DESCRIPTION
The Cat® 3516E High Output (HO) propulsion engine gives performance yacht owners the power, response and confidence to go farther with ease. With up to 4023 bhp, improved acceleration, compact packaging and lower ambient heat rejection, it delivers a refined onboard experience while helping optimize valuable engine room space. Built on the proven Cat 3500 platform, it combines high-output performance with dependable operation for premium yachting applications.High Output Power
Delivers up to 4023 bhp from a V16, 78.1 L sequential turbocharged diesel platform, with 19% more rated power than previous 3516E models for premium yacht applications.
Rapid Acceleration
Improved idle-to-full-power responsiveness helps deliver faster acceleration and confident throttle response when high-output performance is needed.
Low Speed Torque
Significant low-RPM torque reserve above the prop curve supports confident close-quarters maneuvering in marinas, harbors and other precise operating conditions.
Compact Packaging
A 14% reduced space claim versus previous 3516E models helps optimize valuable yacht engine room space for new builds and repower projects.
Lower Heat Rejection
Low ambient heat rejection, water-cooled turbochargers and water-cooled exhaust manifolds help reduce ventilation needs and improve below-deck comfort.
Switchable Emissions
IMO II/III switchable capability, when equipped, allows operation in approved areas to help reduce aftertreatment wear and support fuel savings during international cruising.
