This information about Emissions describes the particular rating's emissions technology. For more information about emissions certification, please contact your local Cat dealer.Industrial PowerHigh Power Density
C18 engines with ratings above 560 kW (755 bhp) have excellent power density thanks to series turbochargers. With a top rating of 597 kW (800 bhp). Power density coupled with a compact aftertreatment allows you to downsize the total space claim of your installation across numerous applications while realizing a reduction in maintenance requirements and cost of operation.
Reliable, Quiet and Durable Power
World-class manufacturing capability and processes coupled with proven core engine designs assure reliability, quiet operation, and many hours of productive life.
Broad Application Range
C18 engines are ideal choices to power applications in:
- Aircraft ground support
- Construction
- Forestry
- General industrial
- Material handling
- Mining
Fuel Efficiency
Fuel consumption optimized to match operating cycles of a wide range of equipment and applications while maintaining low operating costs.
Installation
Fully configurable engine with exceptional power density, numerous options, and a compact, simplified aftertreatment to minimize total package size and enable commonization across a widerange of applications.
Total Cost of Ownership
Whether you own a fleet of machines or even just one, it's important to keep lifetime costs of the engine low. The Cat C18 aims to do just that through a combination of technologies that only require 500-hour service intervals and optimize fluid consuption levels to be the most effective and efficient no matter the application.
Cat Dealer Product Support
With product support offered through the global Cat dealer network and an included warranty, the Cat C18 offers peace of mind with scheduled maintenance and simplified service routines. See your Cat dealer for details.
Advanced Features
Clean emissions module (CEM) consisting of a single-can diesel oxide catalyst (DOC). The DOC is a maintenance-free , passive aftertreatment solution that does not require thermal management or regeneration. It also eliminates the need for diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), reducing lifelong operating cost.
